Brand New Shoes

There's almost nothing like the feeling of brand new shoes. You know...ones that you've been waiting to get or maybe even a pair that you found by surprise. Its just a good feeling. So you get them home. You wear them a few times around the house. Do a little "new shoe" dance in the mirror...and back they go..into the box. You do this a few more times. You really like the shoe...the problem is that you've yet to wear it out of the house. There could be a couple reasons for this: a) you weren't supposed to be shopping, so you can't be seen out in your new shoes, b) you don't want them to get damaged...you want them to stay perfectly yours...c) some other unknown reason. But what happens when the shoe has been tried on again and again but never makes it out of the house? Is it something that you really wanted or needed? Are you gonna take it back? Or do you keep putting it on-at home- until it finds its way out of the closet on its own?
